Curry!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17

Really not much to report for today. I slept in past noon, which is always a wonderful way to start a day. Then cleaned put away some laundry, chatted with more people, and made pancakes for breakfast. I've been doing peanut butter pancakes, but I'm running very, very, very low on peanut butter. I tried one with peanut butter cream, which turned out poorly. The cream hardened like caramel when cooked. The second I tried with chocolate spread, which also didn't really work (the chocolate just oozed and burned.) So, I made my last one with real peanut butter and it was juuuuust right, says Goldilocks.

Took a nap. It was nice.

For dinner, I attempted curry for the first time. I had picked up yogurt to make it some time back and it's been expired for a bit. But, it wasn't yet opened and was still white, so we went with it. It's cooked, after all. I had a rough recipe, but not quite all the ingredients and not quite all in their right forms. So, I just went with it, figuring it couldn't be too terrible (I am Master Chef Alan's prodigy, after all!) It turned out okay. Not the greatest, but still edible. And in a large quantity! I added tofu to it, which is a nice balance to the strong curry kick. I am becoming a sucker for tofu.

Chatted with Alyssum, which was a nice surprise.

Took a nice hot bath. My bathtub is rapidly becoming the warmest, most comfortable place in my apartment. I may just have to move in there this winter.
