TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
I was late getting into Koko, although I can't remember why anymore. And, cheaters that they are, they were having a staff meeting, too! Despite the fact that it was a Tuesday and it hadn't been a long weekend. I don't get it. I slipped off my shoes and ducked it. After the meeting, I slipped down the hall and traded them for my slippers.
I had brought my omiyage, and just needed to figure out when and how to give it out. For that, Id' need to catch the ever-busy Mama.
I was teaching my lesson on music and how to express what music you like. I had changed the dialogue to Digimon characters and gave a point to the first student who said “Digimon?!” It was quite fun to see the students panic as I came sliding up to them (“What'd you say?!?!?!!!”) then sheepishly admit that they recognized it, then the stunned looks from their friends as I told that person to pull out their hanko sheet. Mountain-sensei has a new hanko shaped like Hikon-yen. It's adorable. I want one. Just not for $20.
In between classes, I graded papers and worked on my midterm exam for Kogyo. It took all day.
I had several teachers come up and remind me that Brian would be coming to observe me on Friday. I knew, but it was polite of them to tell me, as there are many things I'm sure that don't make it to me.
I felt a little like a traitor planning the test for Kogyo, as I hated tests as a student. I have grown into my own enemy.
I ended up working late, as usual trying to get the test done. I somehow managed to lose the gluestick Kyoto-sensei gave me, which upsets me, as I consider it a gift. I must have left it somewhere. I borrowed Ottawa-sensei's for the day.
Mischievous-sensei told me I was working too late, and I told him that I had to finish this midterm exam today so I could finish the practice midterm lesson plan tomorrow, so I would have them both for Thursday. He said I sounded like a teacher.
I eventually packed my stuff together and got out of there. I work too late.
